
RENSSELAER, IN – Authorities arrested a man at the Jasper County Fair last week after allegedly finding him with a loaded handgun and drugs.
According to Jasper County Sheriff’s reports, it happened last Monday when Tieler R. Zerby, 21 of Rensselaer, was arrested after allegedly being found carrying a loaded handgun and possessing illegal substances. Fair personnel promptly alerted deputies upon spotting the armed suspect in violation of fair rules.
Deputies approached Zerby near the cattle barns and detected a strong odor of marijuana. A subsequent search led to the discovery of psychedelic chocolate bars, marijuana blunts, THC oil cartridges, and pills marked as 5mg Hydrocodone and 500mg Acetaminophen.
Zerby now faces multiple felony charges, including Dealing in a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Dealing Marijuana.
