Illinois to begin identifying number of COVID-19 patients via Zip Code

Illinois announced today they’ll begin identifying current COVID-19 cases via zip code across the State.  Data can be found on the website here.

According to the website, numbers of note include 16 cases in Bourbonnais with COVID-19, 42 in Kankakee with 6 in Aroma Park.  Manhattan/Monee combines for 29 while Beecher currently hosts 13 cases.  Frankfort zip currently hosts 37. More details to come.

The news comes as 3,680 patients are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 across the state of Illinois, including 1,166 in the ICU with nearly 80% of them on ventilators.

Monday afternoon IDHS officials announced over 1,006 new cases including 33 deaths, bringing state totals to 12,262 and 307 total deaths.
