COVID-19: 16 new cases in Kankakee County, including child, now at 354

Kankakee County Health Department Officials announced on Monday 16 new cases, including a child, of COVID-19 within the County limits, bringing totals to 354.

One new death was announced today, bringing County totals to 28. Earlier today the United States passed 1,000,000 cases of COVID-19, now accounting for 1/3rd of the world’s pandemic cases.

There are now 94 that have recovered in the County.  Cases increased today in Manteno, Kankakee, and Momence.  Earlier today Citadel in Kankakee began reporting cases in their nursing home, with Riverside’s Miller Center now reporting 39 of their 70 residents have now contracted the pandemic.
