CHICAGO – A Google Map featuring some of Chicagoland’s most decorated homes has emerged online just in time for the holidays.
The map, created by Lights on Revere on Facebook, showcase a variety of musical and decorative homes along with seasonal events throughout counties in Chicagoland.
According to the creators, the map will be updated throughout the holiday season. Those with stars are parks and community displays. A few paid attractions are also included among the destinations.
“It is always a work in progress… but here is the link to the map–the old one will work just fine though! I made a few tweaks to the map this year. I created a second layer for Cook County so it’s divided up into ‘Northwest’ and ‘North/South’ to make it more manageable. I also added a new icon -> ‘walking person’ to indicate walk-through displays that are $PAID displays.” The creators say. “Those with stars are now strictly the parks and community FREE displays. I hope it’s helpful, I also turned on some labels. I have a feeling that the hunting will be pretty good this year because so many people have moved! I hope it’s pretty accurate but we will see.
