CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Construction sites in Champaign faced a series of thefts over the weekend, according to the University of Illinois Police.
Two incidents were reported, highlighting a disturbing trend that has alarmed local authorities.
In the first incident, a construction manager informed the police that tools valued at $2,290 were stolen between Friday night and Saturday morning from a job site located in the 100 block of East Springfield Avenue.
