Boise, ID – A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for south-central and southwest Idaho, as well as northeast and southeast Oregon, bringing heavy snowfall and hazardous travel conditions from Thursday morning through Friday late morning.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Boise, snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches is expected in the Treasure and Magic Valleys, while mountain regions and northern Malheur and Harney Counties could see between 6 and 12 inches. Strong winds up to 35 mph will cause blowing and drifting snow, reducing visibility to less than 1/4 mile at times.

The storm will affect cities including Boise, Nampa, Mountain Home, Twin Falls, Caldwell, Baker, and Ontario, with conditions worsening during the Thursday morning and evening commutes. The warning is in effect from 5 AM MST (4 AM PST) Thursday until 11 AM MST (10 AM PST) Friday.
