Boise, ID – Winter weather remains a concern for Treasure Valley as snow and rain continue through Tuesday, creating hazardous road conditions. Commuters should plan for slick roads, especially on I-84 and local highways.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m. Monday, with an additional two inches of snow expected. Overnight temperatures will hover around 31°F, keeping roads icy into the morning commute.
Tuesday will bring a mix of rain and snow in the morning, turning to rain by the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid-40s, but wet roads could refreeze overnight as temperatures drop to 32°F. Wind speeds will remain light but could increase later in the week.
Looking ahead, Wednesday offers a brief break with partial sunshine before another system moves in. Light snow is possible Wednesday night, with a 40% chance of additional snow on Thursday.
Drivers should use caution, allow extra travel time, and check road conditions before heading out. Stay updated with local forecasts as conditions change.
