Texas Man Arrested in Ohio After Cocaine Bust on I-70 Traffic Stop

Franklin County, OH – A Texas man was arrested Monday after deputies discovered 12 kilograms of cocaine during a traffic stop on I-70.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies from their Specialized Tactics & Investigative Narcotics Group stopped a semi-truck west of Hilliard Rome Road. During the stop, K9 Deputy Bruno alerted officers to narcotics in the truck’s trailer. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies found 12 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver, a Texas resident, faces first-degree felony charges related to drug trafficking. Officials commended the work of their K9 team and drug task force, emphasizing their commitment to intercepting illegal drugs entering the county.

Authorities continue to investigate the case, and no further details were immediately available. Drivers along I-70 are encouraged to report suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
