Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department is now available on your iPhone or Android devices.
The new app, released this past week, is designed to issue timely alerts, news and resources important to Kankakee County’s citizens and businesses and includes COVID-19 resources.
“We weren’t planning on releasing the app so soon, I thought it was imperative for our social media followers to have another way to stay connected to important updates and alerts, especially with everything going on surround the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Sheriff Mike Downey in a press release this week.
Other key features of the app include:
- Submit a Tip
- Enables tips to be sent via anonymously anless a tipster chooses to add contact information. Supports image uploads.
- Jail Information
- Allows users to search via inmates incarcerated at Kankakee County, including information on visitation, commissary, bonding info and more.
- Sex Offenders
- Press Releases
