Lake County, IN: SWAT Team Responds to Armed Incident in Schererville Neighborhood

Schererville, IN – A 25-year-old Schererville man was arrested after an armed standoff in the Springvale subdivision on Thursday.

Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Orchard Court for a suspicious person report. Emmanuel Togba Nah Davies II allegedly pointed a firearm at officers, escalating the situation and prompting a SWAT response.

According to the Schererville Police Department, negotiations with a crisis team led to Davies exiting his residence peacefully. He was taken into custody without further incident, transported to a hospital for evaluation, and later booked into the Lake County Jail.

On Saturday, police presented the case to the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office, resulting in nine felony charges. These included four counts of Level 5 felony intimidation with a deadly weapon, four counts of Level 6 felony intimidation, and one count of Level 6 felony pointing a firearm. Davies’ bond was set at $10,000 cash.
