Union Mills, IN – A Union Mills man was killed early this morning in a single-vehicle crash on CR 800 South in La Porte County. Deputies responded at 12:33 a.m. to the 4400 west block after a 2001 Buick left the roadway.
According to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office, the Buick, driven by 60-year-old Douglas L. Adams, traveled west when it veered left across the eastbound lane. The vehicle crossed a lawn, collided with a utility pole, and crashed into a large rock, where it came to rest.
Adams was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are awaiting toxicology results.
