Alsip, IL — A Speedway gas station in Alsip made history after selling a $1,691,719 winning Fast Play ticket on Aug. 27, marking the second time the store has sold a million-dollar ticket. Located at 5320 W. 127th St., this Speedway has become a hotspot for lottery players in Chicago’s south suburbs.
This is the largest Fast Play jackpot ever sold in retail and the third-largest in Fast Play history. The previous top prizes include a $2.7 million jackpot won in June and a $1.7 million jackpot last month. The winning ticket was purchased for the Ultimate Diamond Jackpot game, a $30 progressive Fast Play game.
Speedway earned a $16,917.19 bonus—1 percent of the total jackpot—for selling the ticket. The same store also sold a $1 million Mega Millions Quick Pick ticket in 2017.
