Miami, FL – A Heat Advisory is in effect across South Florida from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 6 p.m. Wednesday, as temperatures are expected to soar, with heat indices reaching up to 113°F in some areas. Cities such as Immokalee, Everglades City, and Homestead could see temperatures peak between 106°F and 113°F, making it crucial for residents to take precautions.

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, residents should drink plenty of water, wear lightweight, light-colored clothing, and avoid outdoor activities during the peak heat hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Frequent breaks in air-conditioned spaces are also advised to prevent heat-related illnesses.

Looking ahead, thunderstorms are forecasted to begin on Thursday, with a 40% chance of rain. The storms are expected to increase in intensity on Friday, with a 50% chance of showers.
