Savannah, GA – Savannah residents are enduring another scorching start to the week as heat index values approach 110°F, with no immediate relief in sight. The National Weather Service in Charleston reports that the city is expected to experience extremely warm and humid conditions through Tuesday. Temperatures are forecasted to reach the low 90s, with high humidity making it feel even hotter.
According to the National Weather Service, cooler air will start moving into the region by midweek, bringing a slight drop in temperatures. On Wednesday, Savannah could see a high of 87°F, with a 35% chance of rain that might provide some much-needed relief. By Thursday, temperatures are expected to drop further, reaching a more comfortable 86°F.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during the peak heat hours. The heat advisory remains in effect, and those vulnerable to heat-related illnesses should take extra precautions. Cooler temperatures and lower humidity levels are expected to persist into the weekend, providing a welcome break from the intense heat.
