North Riverside, IL – North Riverside Police have charged Jakari M. Norwood, 24, of Chicago with armed robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle.
According to police, Norwood allegedly robbed a Chick-Fil-A employee at gunpoint on April 11 at 7201 W. Cermak Road. After the incident, Norwood led police on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle before escaping. He was arrested Monday in Chicago with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.
Norwood faces charges including a Class X Felony for armed robbery and a Class Two Felony for possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He remains in custody at Cook County Jail, with his next court appearance set for Thursday.
