Northern Minnesota – Low storm chances are expected Sunday with high pressure making a brief appearance. According to the US National Weather Service Duluth, a few storms may develop during the afternoon and evening south of a line from Pine River to Hinckley, MN to Hayward to Phillips, WI. The chance of rain and storms is 20 to 40 percent.

Shower and storm chances return Monday with a 20 to 50 percent chance as a weak cool front moves south-southeast across the Northland. The forecast for Monday indicates temperatures ranging from 50 to 60 degrees for lows and 75 to 84 degrees for highs.

Another round of showers and storms is forecast for Tuesday with a 40 to 70 percent chance. Slightly cooler temperatures are expected Wednesday with a 20 percent chance of storms near Phillips. According to the weather service, temperatures will start in the upper 40s to low 60s, with highs in the 70s and low 80s.

By Wednesday, the region will see highs in the low to upper 70s, with lows between 48 and 58 degrees. Sunshine is expected to increase, with a small chance of showers south of the area. The extended forecast through Friday shows temperatures gradually rising to the mid-80s.
