Cedar Springs, MI – The search for missing 17-year-old Penelope “Penny” Wise from Cedar Springs continues, with increased police presence in Rockford, Michigan. Penny was last seen on May 31, walking along Rockford Park Drive.
According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), several deputies will be in the Rockford area on July 13 to conduct a thorough search. Despite ongoing investigations, Penny’s whereabouts remain unknown. KCSO emphasizes this search is part of their continued efforts rather than a response to new information.
Penny is described as 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with blonde hair and braces. She was last seen wearing a pink tank top and black shorts. The KCSO is urging the public to assist by providing any new information or video footage that might help locate her.
Earlier video footage showed Penny near the Corner Bar in Rockford around midnight on June 1. Despite extensive searches, including in Morely Park, no further sightings have been reported. Authorities believe Penny left her home voluntarily and have not found any evidence of foul play.
Community members are encouraged to call the KCSO Investigative Division at 616-632-6125 or upload any tips, pictures, or videos related to Penny’s disappearance using the provided link. KCSO and Penny’s family remain hopeful for her safe return.
