La Crosse, WI – A warmer and more humid air mass is set to move into Central Wisconsin for the upcoming weekend, bringing sweltering conditions and potential storms. Temperatures will rise significantly, with highs in the 80s today, peaking in the mid-90s by Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, afternoon heat indices are expected to climb into the 90s, potentially reaching 100 degrees in some areas on Sunday. Today’s temperatures will range between 80 to 85 degrees, with mild overnight lows between 57 and 62 degrees.
Thursday and Friday will see continued warmth, with highs between 82 and 86 degrees. Nighttime temperatures will remain comfortable, ranging from 58 to 68 degrees.
As the weekend approaches, temperatures will further increase. Saturday is forecasted to have highs between 85 and 89 degrees, with nighttime lows between 65 and 70 degrees. On Sunday, temperatures are predicted to soar between 88 and 92 degrees, with heat indices possibly reaching the century mark.
