Yates Township, MI – A 32-year-old Baldwin man was shot and killed early Thursday morning near Peyton’s Bar & Grill in Yates Township.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported shooting at 12:04 a.m. and found the victim lying in the road. An 18-year-old Idlewild man, who also suffered a gunshot wound, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and will remain in custody after his release.
A 41-year-old Idlewild man was arrested for resisting and obstructing deputies at the scene. The incident appears to be isolated, with no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
