Bourbonnais, IL –  Residents are invited to explore the sustainable practice of vermiculture at the Perry Farm Barn on Saturday, March 16th. 

According to the Bourbonnais Township Park District, this workshop, led by Master Gardener Holly Froning from the University of Illinois Extension, will delve into the benefits of using worms to convert kitchen waste into rich soil. Attendees can expect a morning filled with educational fun for all ages, running from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at a cost of $10 per family. 

Participants will not only gain valuable composting knowledge but also receive a starter kit to initiate their own vermiculture projects at home.
