Juneau, WI – Dodge County residents should expect temporary changes to emergency communications Thursday morning as a planned electrical system upgrade affects the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office for approximately four hours.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, planned electrical system maintenance will begin at approximately 8 a.m. Thursday. The controlled upgrade is expected to temporarily affect 911 communications and dispatch operations.
Residents experiencing an emergency should continue calling 911 normally. The sheriff’s office said emergency calls will be rerouted to another dispatch center during the maintenance, allowing callers to continue using the standard 911 system.
Non-emergency telephone services are expected to remain operational, although brief interruptions are possible while crews complete the work.
The maintenance could be especially important for residents who need law enforcement assistance Thursday morning. The sheriff’s office said efforts will be made to minimize the impact on public safety and maintain reliable communications throughout the upgrade.

Officials announced the maintenance in advance so residents throughout Dodge County, northwest of the Milwaukee metropolitan area, are aware of potential temporary service interruptions.
The work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Thursday and take approximately four hours, putting the anticipated completion around noon if maintenance proceeds as expected.
