According to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a report of a motorcycle crash around 7:29 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, on County Road K near Biesek Road.

Investigators said a 32-year-old Lyndon Station man riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson was traveling north on County Road K just south of Biesek Road when his motorcycle struck two motorcycles traveling south.

Dale Braun, 68, of Courtland, Minnesota, was operating a 2024 Harley-Davidson and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The operator of the other southbound motorcycle, identified only as a 37-year-old man riding a 2008 Victory, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. His passenger, a 29-year-old woman, was also airlifted to a Madison-area hospital.

Authorities have not released the names of the other people involved as the investigation continues.
