Indianapolis, IN – Job seekers across Indiana will have an opportunity to explore new career opportunities this Saturday as Kroger hosts a statewide back-to-school hiring event at its stores. The grocery retailer says hundreds of positions are available as it prepares for increased customer demand during the second half of the year.
According to Kroger, the hiring event will take place Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at participating Kroger stores. Store leaders will meet with applicants interested in a variety of full-time and part-time roles, including positions in store operations, customer service, and other departments.
“We offer full- and part-time jobs with excellent, long-term career potential,” said Mike Goodwin, president of Kroger’s Central Division. “We’re looking for candidates who can help us provide fresh food, friendly service and an amazing customer experience at every store.”

Kroger says associates may be eligible for competitive pay, health and retirement benefits, employee discounts, and continuing education opportunities. The company also highlighted its tuition reimbursement program, which provides up to $21,000 for eligible part-time and full-time associates pursuing education ranging from a GED to a Ph.D.
Goodwin said the company aims to provide employees with opportunities for career advancement through leadership development programs, role-specific training, and access to educational resources.
The hiring event comes as retailers across the country increase staffing ahead of the back-to-school shopping season, one of the busiest retail periods of the year.
Kroger’s Central Division operates grocery stores, pharmacies, and fuel centers throughout Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Ohio. The company encourages interested applicants to visit their local Kroger store during the event to learn more about available positions and begin the application process.
