Milwaukee, WI – A warming trend is expected across southeast Wisconsin after a cool and breezy midweek stretch, with temperatures climbing back into the 80s before showers and thunderstorms return later this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will remain mostly cloudy across the Milwaukee metro with highs near 61 degrees. Northwest winds could gust up to 30 mph throughout the day, making conditions feel cooler along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Forecasters say skies gradually clear Wednesday night as temperatures fall into the lower 40s. Sunshine returns Thursday with highs again near 61 degrees before warmer air begins moving into Wisconsin by Friday.
Friday’s temperatures are expected to jump into the mid-70s with partly sunny skies and a slight chance of scattered showers developing during the afternoon. Mild overnight conditions continue Friday night with lows only dropping into the mid-50s.
A significant warmup arrives Saturday as highs surge near 81 degrees across Milwaukee and surrounding communities. While much of Saturday should remain dry, isolated showers could develop later in the afternoon and evening.
More widespread showers and thunderstorms are possible Sunday into Monday as a more active weather pattern settles across the Great Lakes region. Cooler temperatures may return by early next week after the brief warm spell.
