Dallas, TX – Summerlike heat will continue across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex through the weekend as temperatures remain locked in the lower 90s before rain and thunderstorm chances return early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will bring sunny skies and highs near 91 degrees across North Texas. Winds will remain relatively light during the afternoon, though dry conditions and warm temperatures continue contributing to elevated fire weather concerns and reduced air quality across portions of the region.

Forecasters say mostly clear skies will continue Wednesday night with overnight lows remaining warm near 68 degrees. Sunshine quickly returns Thursday with another afternoon high near 91 degrees and south winds gusting up to 20 mph.

The hot and breezy weather pattern continues Friday and Saturday. High temperatures are forecast to stay near 90 degrees both days, while south winds could gust between 25 and 30 mph at times across Dallas County and surrounding communities.

Humidity levels are expected to increase by Sunday and Monday as Gulf moisture returns to North Texas. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms develops Sunday night before storm chances increase significantly Monday and Tuesday.

Monday is forecast to bring widespread showers and thunderstorms with highs near 88 degrees, and additional rounds of rain may continue Tuesday across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
