Chicago, IL – Four Illinois Lottery players are celebrating major wins after a rare Powerball drawing produced multiple seven-figure prizes across the state.
According to the Illinois Lottery, the Wednesday, April 29 drawing resulted in one $2 million winner and three $1 million winners in Illinois alone—an unusually high number of top-tier prizes in a single night. The winning numbers were 3, 19, 35, 51, 67, with Powerball 15.
The $2 million winning ticket was sold at a Circle K located at 401 W. Main Street in Danville. The prize was doubled using the Power Play feature after the player matched five numbers. Store officials say it is the largest winning ticket ever sold at that location.
Additionally, three other Illinois tickets each won $1 million by matching five numbers. All were purchased at gas stations, though specific locations were not immediately released.
Lottery officials note that nearly 90 players across 20 states won prizes of $1 million or $2 million in the same drawing, with Illinois accounting for a significant share.
Beyond the winnings, the recent Powerball run also contributed to public education funding. From April 8 through April 29, more than 7.2 million tickets were sold in Illinois, generating nearly $2.9 million for the state’s Common School Fund, which supports K–12 education.
Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes. Officials advise signing the back of tickets and storing them securely until claimed.
