Ohio – Darkening clouds and a sudden drop in light signal a fast-changing spring setup across Cleveland as storms build toward the afternoon commute.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, temperatures will rise to near 66°F today with scattered showers developing after 1 p.m. Storm coverage increases through late afternoon and early evening, especially along and south of U.S. Route 30. Some storms may turn severe, producing damaging wind gusts and hail.

Across northeast Ohio and into northwest Pennsylvania, including Akron, Canton, and Youngstown, conditions may deteriorate quickly after 3 p.m. Winds could shift abruptly, and brief heavy rain may cut visibility on I-77, I-71, and I-90. Plan extra time if traveling and avoid flooded low spots.

Rain continues into the evening before tapering overnight. Temperatures drop sharply to near 35°F by early Monday. While widespread freezing is not expected immediately, colder air settling in could create slick spots on bridges if surfaces remain wet.

Monday turns quieter but cooler, with highs near 40°F under mostly cloudy skies. A gradual warm-up begins Tuesday with sunshine and highs near 49°F.

Midweek stays seasonable with highs in the 50s, but another round of rain arrives Wednesday night into Thursday. No major severe risk is signaled yet, but unsettled conditions persist.

This active pattern reflects a classic March transition, with warmth, storms, and quick cooldowns all in play.
