Joliet, IL – NASCAR is set to return to Chicagoland Speedway for the first time in seven years, bringing a major summer sports event back to the Chicago metro area over Fourth of July weekend.

According to NASCAR officials, races will take place July 3–5 at the Joliet track in Will County, marking the first event at the speedway since 2019. The return is expected to draw fans from across Illinois and the Midwest, reestablishing the venue as a regional tourism and entertainment hub.

This year’s event will also feature a new partnership with SOLO, the iconic red party cup brand, which is joining its first NASCAR season as an official partner. The collaboration comes as SOLO celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, aligning with the holiday weekend known for large gatherings and celebrations.

Organizers say the partnership will focus on enhancing the fan experience both at the track and during race weekend festivities. NASCAR officials noted the brand’s presence is intended to complement the social atmosphere that typically surrounds race events.

Chicagoland Speedway, a 1.5-mile tri-oval track that operated as a premier NASCAR venue from 2001 through 2019, has long been a staple for Midwest racing fans. Its return to the schedule signals renewed investment in the region’s motorsports footprint.

Additional NASCAR events tied to the SOLO partnership are scheduled at tracks in Michigan and New York earlier in the season.

Tickets and event details are available through NASCAR and Chicagoland Speedway platforms.
