Glasgow, MT – Temperatures are set to climb rapidly across eastern Montana, with highs jumping nearly 30 degrees in just a few days and nearing 80°F by Tuesday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, a brief period of light rain or snow showers may linger early Saturday alongside northwest winds, but conditions will quickly shift toward a dry and warming trend through the weekend. Highs will rise from the 50s Saturday into the 60s Sunday, then surge into the upper 70s and low 80s by Monday and Tuesday.
Communities across northeast Montana, including Glendive, Sidney, and Wolf Point, will see the sharpest warm-up. Glasgow is expected to climb from the low 50s Saturday to around 82°F by Monday, creating springlike conditions after a cool start to the weekend.
The quick warm-up could accelerate snowmelt and soften rural roads, particularly in low-lying areas. Residents should prepare for changing conditions and monitor local road updates.
By late next week, an upper-level system is expected to bring cooler temperatures and renewed chances for rain, with even a rain-snow mix possible in some areas.
