Nevada – The desert sun is already intense this morning, and the heat is building fast across Las Vegas. Sidewalks warm quickly under clear skies, and by afternoon, temperatures surge into the mid-90s.

An Extreme Heat Warning is now in effect through Sunday evening across southern Nevada. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will climb well above seasonal norms. Highs reach near 94°F today, then jump to 97°F Thursday before peaking around 100°F Friday.

This rapid warm-up increases health risks, especially for visitors not acclimated to desert heat. The Las Vegas Strip, I-15 corridor, and surrounding urban areas will feel especially गर्म by mid-afternoon. Heat reflects off buildings and pavement, intensifying conditions on foot.

Evenings offer limited relief. Temperatures only fall into the upper 60s, keeping the air warm and dry. Hydration becomes critical, and outdoor plans should shift earlier or later in the day.

Saturday stays hot near 98°F with sunny skies. By Sunday, temperatures ease slightly to around 94°F, though conditions remain well above normal for March. This prolonged heat wave aligns with a broader western U.S. pattern pushing summer-like warmth into the region.

Take precautions now. Drink water frequently, wear light clothing, and avoid peak sun between noon and early evening. Never leave pets or children in vehicles.
