Cleveland, OH – Drivers across Cleveland could encounter wet highways and strong wind gusts before the Monday morning commute as a windy storm system pushes into northeast Ohio late Sunday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, temperatures surge Sunday with highs climbing to around 68°F. Increasing southerly winds may gust up to 36 mph, signaling a dramatic warmup ahead of the next storm system.
Rain showers develop after 2 a.m. Monday and continue through the morning with southwest wind gusts reaching 44 mph. Rainfall totals between 0.10 and 0.25 inches could create slick travel along major routes including I-90, I-71, and I-77, particularly during the early commute hours.
Colder air quickly moves back into northern Ohio Monday night, allowing rain to transition to scattered snow showers as temperatures fall to around 23°F. Light snow accumulation around 1 inch is possible before precipitation tapers.
Snow showers may linger into Tuesday with highs near 30°F, while quieter weather gradually returns across Cleveland by midweek. Additional advisories could be issued if wind gusts increase Monday.
