Investigators reported that both the driver and a passenger attempted to flee on foot after the vehicle stopped. Agents quickly apprehended the driver, identified as Tony Lamar Boyd Jr., 22, of Decatur. The passenger, described as a woman, has not been identified and remains at large.

Boyd was arrested and charged with attempting to elude a police officer and resisting arrest, according to authorities. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail, where bond was set at $2,800.

The sheriff’s office stated that additional charges are possible for Boyd and the unidentified passenger as the investigation continues.
