Deputies said that upon arrival, they learned Roy had allegedly broken into a nearby home and assaulted an elderly occupant, causing significant injury. Authorities said Roy had also contacted a man in a neighboring home who had been injured before deputies arrived.
A deputy deployed a Taser and detained Roy, who was also reported injured. Medics treated victims at the scene, and Roy was transported to a local hospital for medical care before being lodged at the Lane County Jail.
