Wisconsin Weather Alert: 5 Inches Snow Snarl Florence County Roads Overnight Until Noon Saturday

Niagara, Wisconsin – Snow will redevelop this evening across Florence and northern Marinette counties, creating hazardous travel through the Saturday morning commute and lasting until noon CST Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Saturday, with an additional 3 to 5 inches of snow expected mainly this evening and overnight.

Road conditions will deteriorate quickly after sunset.

Communities including Niagara, Wausaukee, Spread Eagle, Aurora and Commonwealth may see a lull in snowfall early to mid-afternoon before steadier snow returns during the evening commute. U.S. Highway 141 and rural county roads are likely to become snow-covered overnight, with reduced traction into Saturday morning.

The Friday evening commute will be impacted.

Drivers should slow down, increase following distance, and check 511 Wisconsin for updated road conditions before heading out.

Light snow may linger into late Saturday morning before tapering near midday, but slick spots could persist as temperatures remain near freezing. The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST Saturday.
