Wisconsin Weather Alert: 4 Inches Snow Snarl Door County Roads Overnight Until Noon Saturday

Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin – Snow will redevelop across Door County this evening, creating slippery roads through the Saturday morning commute and lasting until noon CST Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Saturday, with an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow expected mainly this evening and overnight into Saturday morning.

Road conditions will worsen after sunset.

Communities including Sturgeon Bay, Sister Bay and Fish Creek may see a lull in snowfall early this afternoon before steadier snow returns during the evening commute. Highway 42 and Highway 57 are likely to become snow-covered overnight, especially on bridges and exposed stretches along the peninsula.

The Friday evening commute will be impacted.

Drivers should slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and check 511 Wisconsin for updated road conditions before traveling.

Light snow may linger into late Saturday morning before tapering near midday, but slick spots could persist as temperatures hover near freezing. The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST Saturday.
