Peshtigo, Wisconsin – Snow will intensify again this evening across southern Marinette County, creating slippery roads through the Saturday morning commute and lasting until noon CST Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a Winter Weather Advisory now remains in effect until noon Saturday, with an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow expected mainly this evening and overnight.

Road conditions will worsen after sunset.

Cities including Peshtigo, Crivitz, Porterfield and areas near High Falls Reservoir may see a brief lull in snowfall early this afternoon before steadier snow redevelops by the evening commute. Untreated stretches of U.S. Highway 41 and secondary county roads are likely to become snow-covered overnight.

The Friday evening commute will be impacted.

Drivers should slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and check 511 Wisconsin for updated road conditions before traveling.

Light snow may linger into late Saturday morning before tapering near midday, but slick spots could persist as temperatures hover near freezing. The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST Saturday.
