Caribou has recorded 91.0 inches of snow this season, running above normal.

According to the National Weather Service Eastern Region, Caribou, Maine measured 91.0 inches of snowfall as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, compared to a normal 81.3 inches through the same date.

In southern Maine, Portland has recorded 20.8 inches this season, slightly below its normal of 24.9 inches. The regional summary shows a north-to-south contrast in snowfall totals across the state.

The National Weather Service noted measurable snowfall has been observed at each primary reporting location included in the Eastern U.S. update — an uncommon seasonal milestone across the region.

While parts of the Mid-Atlantic remain below normal this winter, northern Maine continues to trend above average, with multiple winter systems contributing to steady accumulation.

For commuters, students, and snow removal crews across Maine, above-normal snowfall in northern counties has meant frequent plowing operations and periodic travel slowdowns this season.

The snowfall year runs from July 1 through June 30.
