SPRINGFIELD, IL – As the archery season nears, Illinois Conservation Police issue a timely reminder to hunters: using drones during hunting or wildlife recovery is illegal.
According to the Illinois Wildlife Code, anyone found violating this can face consequences, including possible seizure and forfeiture of the misused equipment.
The Wildlife Code explicitly prohibits taking, pursuing, or disturbing wild birds or mammals using any vehicle, conveyance, or unmanned aircraft, with limited exceptions.
