Hampden, Maine — Maine State Police and local authorities are conducting an active search for a 78-year-old Hampden man as officers attempt to locate him and check on his well-being.
According to the Maine State Police, troopers are assisting the Hampden Police Department in the search for Douglas Dunphy, who was reported missing. On Tuesday, Feb. 3, state police, Maine Wardens, and Hampden police began searching Mr. Dunphy’s property located on Kennebec Road in Hampden.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area to prevent congestion that could interfere with search operations. Officials stated there is no known risk to the public at this time.
