Sumter, SC – Four adults were arrested Saturday in Sumter County after a domestic dispute allegedly escalated into vandalism and gunfire, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
According to deputies, the incident began with a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Edgehill Road Saturday morning. About an hour after the first call, deputies were dispatched again when new information indicated the dispute was still ongoing. While en route, deputies learned the situation had allegedly become physical and that shots had been fired.
Deputies say the individuals involved were identified as Jaheim Rakel Kassim Abrams, 23; Willie Abrams Jr., 43; Adre’Anna Singleton, 18; and Alasyia Titeanna Singleton, 25, all of Sumter. Each suspect was charged with malicious injury to personal property—more than $2,000 but less than $10,000—and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain crimes.
When deputies arrived, they determined the four individuals had allegedly fired shots into each other’s unoccupied vehicles during the dispute. No injuries were reported, and deputies noted that no other vehicles or nearby structures were struck by gunfire.
All four suspects were taken into custody, transported to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, and later released on bond.
Authorities did not report any additional threats to the public, but the investigation remains active.
