Authorities said the crash happened around 10:26 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, near mile marker 177.5 in Wells County. The two-vehicle collision occurred in wet, misty conditions, involving a 2015 Nissan Rogue and a 2007 Kenworth truck.
According to the Highway Patrol, the Nissan, driven by a 45-year-old Tioga woman, was traveling northwest when it crossed the centerline and struck the oncoming Kenworth truck head-on. The woman died at the scene.
The 73-year-old male truck driver from Minot suffered injuries and was transported to St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
