Adams County, WI – A Friendship man is facing multiple drug-related charges after deputies executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal drugs, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sheriff Brent York, deputies served a search warrant on Monday, July 20, 2026, in the 600 block of Main Street in the Village of Friendship. The warrant stemmed from an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the search, investigators said they located controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. One person was taken into custody and transported to the Adams County Jail.
Authorities identified the suspect as Samuel Smith, 59, of Friendship. According to the sheriff’s office, Smith was charged in Adams County Circuit Court with:
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Narcotic Drug
- Possession of THC
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Two counts of Felony Bail Jumping
- Two counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping
- Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place
The sheriff’s office said Smith was already out on multiple signature bonds related to June 2025 charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and a July 2024 disorderly conduct case.
On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Smith made his initial appearance in Adams County Circuit Court, where a judge set a $200 cash bond. According to the sheriff’s office, he was later released after posting bond.
The charges are allegations, and Smith is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
