DANVILLE – Four homes were destroyed by fire in just 30 hours over the weekend in Danville.  Three of the causes of those fires remains unknown.

According to Danville Fire, the first fire happened late Saturday with the last of the four during the early hours Monday morning.

At 10:12pm firefighters responded to a house fire at 322 Harmon Street which was fully engulfed in flames by the time they arrived.  After extinguishing that blaze, another home caught fire at 1022 Franklin Street, also fully engulfed and spreading to a house next door.

Around noon Sunday, firefighters arrived to a home at 926 Redden Court that caught fire due to an air conditioner.  The final happened at 1:44 am Monday at 501 West Madison Street that originated at the roof of the home.  Firefighters attempted to fight the blaze from inside the home but heat made it impossible to remain.

All four homes were vacant at the time of the fire and no one was hurt, but every one of the homes was destroyed.

The causes of the three of the four fires are under investigation and remain unknown at this time.
