Watseka, IL – A festive new tradition is set to brighten Watseka this holiday season as city officials confirmed a drive-through Christmas lights display will debut in 2025.

According to the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce, the seasonal attraction will open following the cityโ€™s annual lighted Christmas Parade and remain lit through the start of the new year. The update was shared last week during the Chamberโ€™s Business After Hours event at the Watseka Food Pantry.

Chamber Executive Director Amanda Hibbs said 15 displays have already been purchased and will be showcased during the eventโ€™s first year. Organizers intend to expand the drive-through in the coming years, with the goal of making it a long-term holiday tradition for the community.

The lights display will be open to the public and designed for families to enjoy from the comfort of their vehicles. Community members interested in additional details, including schedules and sponsorship opportunities, are encouraged to contact the Watseka Area Chamber of Commerce.

City leaders and local businesses hope the holiday attraction will boost community spirit while also drawing visitors to Watseka during the Christmas season.
