Fort Wayne, Ind. – Much of Indiana will stay dry Tuesday, but passing showers could disrupt travel and outdoor plans by late afternoon, especially in areas from Kokomo to South Bend.

According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, there’s a 20% chance of light showers developing after 4 p.m. Tuesday, with precipitation spreading northward through the evening. Rain chances increase to 40% overnight, with lows dipping into the upper 50s.

The threat of rain continues into Wednesday with a 30–50% chance of showers throughout the day. Highs will hover in the mid-60s across much of northern Indiana, including Fort Wayne, Elkhart, and Warsaw.

Drivers should be alert for slick roads during the evening commute and into Wednesday morning. While flooding is not expected, residents are urged to monitor local updates and pack umbrellas if heading out.

This stretch of unsettled weather marks a shift from the recent dry spell, but any rainfall will remain light and scattered. Another update is expected early Wednesday as forecasters track lingering showers across the region.
