Wichita, Kansas – Isolated thunderstorms and mild temperatures will stretch across Kansas through early Friday, with pockets of rain likely disrupting travel in central and eastern counties.

According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will persist through Friday morning, especially east of I-135. High temperatures will hover between 68 and 75 degrees statewide, with localized storms possible in cities like Salina, Emporia, and Olathe.

While much of western Kansas, including Dodge City and Garden City, will remain dry today, areas like Wichita and Manhattan may see intermittent rain through Thursday evening. Temperatures are expected to remain steady in the low 70s across the region, offering a mild but damp pattern before skies clear for the weekend.

Drivers should stay alert for slick roads, especially during the Thursday evening commute. Keep mobile devices charged and avoid low-lying areas during heavier bursts of rain.

A dry and warmer weekend is expected, with highs pushing into the mid-70s by Saturday. Rain chances return by Monday, particularly west of I-135. Warnings and updates may follow as new storm systems develop.
