Shreveport, Louisiana – Afternoon storms could drench parts of northern Louisiana on Monday, especially south of the I-20 corridor, as highs climb into the low to mid-80s and humidity builds.
According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, rain chances will peak during the afternoon hours with a 40% probability in cities like Natchitoches and Winnfield. Areas farther north, including Shreveport and Ruston, may see a lower chance of isolated showers around 20–30%.
Drivers along I-49 and US 167 should watch for brief downpours and slick conditions through the evening. Outdoor plans may be impacted in communities such as Mansfield, Many, and Zwolle where thunderstorm activity is more likely.
Residents are advised to stay weather-aware and check local radar before heading out, especially during peak travel hours. Charge devices in case of localized outages and keep umbrellas or rain gear handy.
Storm chances taper off overnight, but scattered showers could linger through early Tuesday. The National Weather Service may issue further advisories if conditions intensify.
