Paducah, Kentucky – Temperatures across western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and southeast Missouri will climb into the low 80s by Wednesday before rain chances sharply increase late in the week, bringing the potential for widespread showers Friday into Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, most cities in the region — including Hopkinsville, Paducah, and Evansville — will see highs near 80°F from Tuesday through Friday. Rain chances remain near zero through midweek, but jump dramatically to between 70% and 85% by Friday afternoon.
Heavy rain could impact Friday travel in several areas. New Madrid, Missouri, has a 95% chance of rain by Friday evening. Similar threats extend east through Marion and Owensboro, Kentucky, where storms could begin before noon and persist into Saturday. Morning lows will stay in the 50s throughout the week, offering mild starts but little relief from the incoming wet weather.
Residents are urged to plan ahead for potential wet commutes and consider adjusting outdoor activities for late week. Make sure gutters are clear and check local alerts for any flash flood watches that may develop.
Rain chances taper by Sunday, but scattered showers remain possible through Monday. More advisories may be issued as the system approaches.
