Green Bay, Wis. – Unsettled skies will make a soggy return across Wisconsin late Sunday, with widespread rain expected to impact much of the state through Tuesday and a chance of snow mixing in across north-central areas by early Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a band of rain will move north from the state line late Sunday, bringing steady showers and cooler highs in the mid-40s to low 50s. By Monday, precipitation may briefly turn to snow in parts of north-central Wisconsin, including Wausau and Rhinelander, as temperatures dip closer to 40°F.

Drivers across U.S. Highway 51 and Highway 29 should watch for reduced visibility and slick conditions Monday morning. Rain chances persist into Tuesday before drier air returns mid-week. Cities like Green Bay, Appleton, and Stevens Point can expect afternoon rain and highs near 58°F Tuesday.

With overnight lows in the 30s and 40s, residents are advised to limit non-essential travel during heavier rainfall and keep sump pumps active.

Rain chances begin tapering off by Wednesday as highs rebound into the upper 60s. Additional advisories may be issued if snowfall becomes more likely.
