Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Southeastern Wisconsin will enjoy a calm Saturday before a wave of rain and thunderstorms moves in late Sunday, bringing a wet and unsettled start to the workweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee, dry and breezy conditions will continue through Saturday, with northwest winds near 10 mph and highs in the upper 50s. Rain chances increase Sunday afternoon, with widespread showers and thunderstorms expected by Sunday evening, especially across Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Racine counties.
Storms could produce occasional lightning and downpours, with the heaviest rain likely between 6 p.m. and midnight. Commuters and travelers should plan ahead for slick roads and possible ponding during that time. Overnight lows will remain in the 40s, limiting any threat of freezing.
Rain may linger into Monday morning before tapering off, but additional rounds of rain and storms are possible Tuesday and Wednesday as a warmer, more active pattern settles in. Temperatures will gradually climb into the upper 60s by midweek.
Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items, monitor weather alerts, and allow extra travel time Sunday night into Monday. Updates will continue as new storm data becomes available.
